Panzyga contains immunoglobulin G (IgG), the main type of antibody made by the immune system. It helps protect the health of people with PI by supplying their immune systems with IgG antibodies to help prevent infections. Panzyga can also help improve motor function in adults with CIDP. For adults with chronic ITP, Panzyga can raise platelet counts to help prevent bleeding.
Panzyga infusions are administered intravenously through a vein in the arm. The first infusion takes the most time. Subsequent infusions may last about 3 hours.
One dose is given every 3 or 4 weeks.
Loading dose is 2 daily doses given on 2 consecutive days. Maintenance dose is once every 3 weeks, divided in 2 doses given over 2 consecutive days.
