Panzyga IVIg Infusion Therapy

WHAT iS PANZYGA?

Panzyga is a biologic, intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIg) drug that is used to treat primary immunodeficiency (PI) disease in patients 2 years of age and older, chronic immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) in adults, and chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP) in adults.

HOW DOES PANZYGA WORK?

Panzyga contains immunoglobulin G (IgG), the main type of antibody made by the immune system. It helps protect the health of people with PI by supplying their immune systems with IgG antibodies to help prevent infections. Panzyga can also help improve motor function in adults with CIDP. For adults with chronic ITP, Panzyga can raise platelet counts to help prevent bleeding.

HOW IS PANZYGA ADMINISTERED?

Panzyga infusions are administered intravenously through a vein in the arm. The first infusion takes the most time. Subsequent infusions may last about 3 hours.
