Gammagard Liquid IVIg Infusion Therapy

What is Gammagard Liquid?

Gammagard Liquid is a biologic, intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIg) drug used to treat primary immunodeficiency (PI) disease in people 2 years and older and multifocal motor neuropathy (MMN) in adults.

How does Gammagard Liquid work?

Primary Immunodeficiency

People with PI experience frequent and recurring infections because they lack healthy infection-fighting proteins in their blood called antibodies. Gammagard Liquid contains immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies derived from healthy human blood, which helps PI patients fight off serious bacterial and viral infections.

Multifocal Motor Neuropathy

Gammagard Liquid treatment in adults with MMN has been shown to improve and maintain grip strength and reduce disability.

How is Gammagard Liquid administered?

The Gammagard Liquid infusion can be administered intravenously once every 2 to 4 weeks for 12 months. The exact infusion time may take a few hours and will depend on the infusion rate, the dose being administered, and patient tolerability. Dosage depends on age and body weight.
