Tezspire Injection Therapy

What is tezspire?

TEZSPIRE (tezepelumad-ekko) is a biologic injection used with other asthma medicines for the maintenance treatment of severe asthma in people 12 years of age and older whose asthma is not controlled with medium- to high-dose inhaled corticosteroids and at least one other controller medication.

how does tezspire work?

Tezspire helps to reduce inflammation brought on by your body's overreaction to triggers. When you come across an asthma trigger, your lungs release multiple alarmins. One of these alarmins, called thymic stromal lymphopoietin, is is a key regulator that enhances the chain-reaction of  the body's inflammatory response to asthma triggers. Tezspire works to target and block this alarmin to proactively reduce inflammation and help prevent asthma attacks. If you have severe asthma that is uncontrolled, Tezspire could help you experience better breathing in as little as 2 weeks.

how is tezspire administered?

Tezspire is administered by subcutaneous (subQ) injections under the skin. Injections are given once every 4 weeks.
