The Ig in HyQvia provides PI patients with the antibodies they need to help their bodies fight infections.
HyQvia is administered by subcutaneous (subQ) injections under the skin. Recombinant Human Hyaluronidase is also known as Hy. HyQvia is supplied as a dual-vial unit; one vial contains Hy and the other contains Ig. The Hy opens the subQ space to allow a larger amount of Ig to reach your subQ tissue and be absorbed into your bloodstream. Hy is infused first and Ig second through a needle set in the same site. Injections are given once every 3 or 4 weeks. Doses depend on age and body weight.
