Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma (NHL)

Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) is a diverse group of blood cancers that develop in lymphatic tissue, which is found in the hundreds of small, interconnected glands called lymph nodes as well as the spleen, tonsils, and other organs. These glands and organs are vital to the immune system because they are made of lymphocytes, a type of white blood cell that helps fight infection. NHL occurs when the body produces too many abnormal (cancerous) lymphocytes that crowd out healthy white blood cells.
